Green Mortgage | Sustainable housing

A few months ago, we started talking aboutaccess to green mortgages with Omplim’s homes. But, what is a green mortgage?

Well, green mortgages are mortgage loans for the purchase, construction, or rehabilitation of housing; the same as the traditional mortgage, but rewarding those energy-efficient homes with a reduced environmental footprint.


Under what criteria are these mortgages granted?

In order to access a green mortgage, it is essential to demonstrate that the home has a high-energy efficiency performance through the energy qualification certificate. This will provide information on the levels of gas emissions and energy consumption. That is, if the energy label is A or B, you will have more options to get a green mortgage.


Do all banks offer green mortgages?

Unfortunately, this is not the case. Some banks have begun offering this service. Although there are only a few now, we hope that more banks will join in the future. Here you have a list with some of the entities that offer it, hoping that in the future, it can be longer.
